galleries. watching out for you, this is newswatch 12 at 6." announcer says "now, stormwatch 12 weather with meteorologist caitlin harvey." some people are really enjoy this weekend's weather - today: after a cloudy and fairly dry start to father's day, another chance for showers and thunderstorms will move in after noon on the east side. storms will move westward throughout the afternoon, bringing an isolated thunderstorm or two into the rogue valley. the main impact with these storms will be lightning, gusty winds, and some small hail. the southern oregon coast will remain dry and mostly sunny. afternoon highs today will top out in the upper 60s and lower 70s in the klamath basin, the 70s along the coast, and the lower 80s in northern california and the rogue valley. winds will remain out of the north up to 15 mph. tonight: rain and thunderstorms will begin to die down after the sun sets with some lingering showers possible in lake county into the late evening. overnight lows will dip down into the 40s and 50s under partly cloudy skies. extended: another surge of moisture will keep some rain and possible thunderstorms klamath and lake counties monday afternoon and evening. the bigger story for the week will be the strong warming trend. we will temperatures surge into the mid and upper 90s by tuesday and wednesday in the rogue valley and siskiyou county. wednesday will bring a very slight chance for thunderstorms in lake county, but most of the region will stay dry throughout the extended forecast. so hopefully, that will not impact your plans too much. voter numbers are up in california -- that's after
