Car vandalized and found on fire in Medford neighborhood

Medford Fire Rescue responded to a car fire on Sunday morning on Effie St.

MEDFORD, Ore. – Medford Fire Rescue responded to a car fire on Sunday morning on Effie St.

According to firefighters, this same car had been vandalized early Saturday morning when someone threw a landscaping brick through the back windshield. Another brick was thrown into the front hood of the car, smashing the front windshield.

On Sunday morning the car’s owner heard a strange sound and when he went outside to investigate, the entire inside of his car was on fire.

The owner of the car has filed police reports for both incidents. An investigation is underway.
