GRANTS PASS, Ore. -- At the boys and girls club of the rogue valley in Grants Pass.
“Today we are doing sandwiches for the kids,” Joanne Berry says.

Joanne has been cooking for more than 20 years and today she’s making healthy lunches for the kids.
“It might be there dinner going home tonight. We try hard to give them good nutritional meals,” Berry adds.

It’s a passion that Joanne loves to do and she might never quit.
“I care about what we serve. We cook a lot from scratch and we do a lot of homemade meals,” Berry goes onto say.

Joanne is just one of the many members of the boys and girls club who help out with the coats for kid’s campaign.
“Especially when you a child not wearing very warm clothes, it’s fun to take them out there and size them into a jacket so they have something warm to wear,” Berry adds.

The boys and girls club has been a part of the campaign for the last 10 years.
“I get to be one of the lucky ones when the big carts come off the truck every year I get to spend hours and hours sorting so that they are in the right spots so the parents and shop easily for their kids,” Clarissa Law the Regional Program Director says.

Last year the boys and girls club donated more than 755 coats.
“It’s really amazing and humbling to see what this community provides for those kids and families”

It’s a campaign that keeps on giving.
“Knowing that they are warm and happy and their proud to be wearing these coats that does it for me,” Law says.
