Eagle Point Students Create Chalk Memorial to Honor Their Classmates

After the tragic deaths of three high school friends in a car crash on Saturday, many of their classmates took time today to remember them.

EAGLE POINT, Ore. — Monday was a day for Eagle Point High School students to support one another, remember, and grieve. On Saturday they lost three of their classmates—Luciana Tellez, Gisselle Montano, and Esmeralda Nava.

School administrators said that students were sharing both comfort and tears. However, what they left behind when they went home today was a school decorated in their best thoughts, memories, images and prayers—depicted in hundreds of chalk inscriptions all across the school grounds.

NewsWatch 12's Eliana Sheriff took a walk around that chalk memorial today, to show how students are remembering their classmates.
