TENNANT, Calif. -- · Elevated fire weather conditions will be in effect over the Antelope Fire area through the weekend due to winds, temperatures and low relative humidity levels.
Saturday, firefighters will continue to patrol the fire perimeter, scouting for areas of heat that could threaten containment lines. Crews will return to monitor the area around Garner Mountain.
Firefighters will continue to balance fire suppression with fire line repair activities. With elevated fire weather conditions Saturday, it is anticipated that smoke levels around the fire area will be more active through the weekend
Hot and dry conditions will continue over the fire through this weekend. Winds will gust through the weekend, increasing slightly Sunday and continue through Monday. Relative humidity levels will increase on Monday ahead of an incoming cold front. This weather system is anticipated to bring up to a quarter inch of rain Monday night and into Tuesday.
