Oregon State Police respond to three fatal crashes this week in Jefferson, Klamath, and Marion counties

This week, Oregon State Police say they have responded to three fatal crashes which occurred in Jefferson, Klamath and Marion counties.

MEDFORD, Ore--- Tonight, Oregon State Police say that they have responded to three fatal crash this week, in three different counties. Officers say that in Jefferson, Klamath and Marion counties, three people have died with just a short four day span.

On Wednesday, November 4, 2020,  Oregon State Police Troopers and emergency personnel responded to a vehicle crash on Highway 97 near milepost 232.

Police say that around 10 p.m. that night a Honda motorcycle was heading northbound when it crashed into a Pontiac G6.

John Fairbanks (56) sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead on the scene. Police say that Roberto Salinas, who was operating the car, sustained minor injuries.

On Thursday, November 6, 2020,  OSP responded to a vehicle crash on Highway 97 near milepost 111. After an investigation, police found that a Honda, being driven by a minor, was driving southbound around 12 a.m. when the vehicle and a Chevy pickup collided into each other.

29 year-old Brandon Kern, Shawna Henkemeyer and the minor were taken to the hospital with serious injuries. However, Alisa Miller who was a passenger in the Honda received fatal injuries from the crash and died on the scene.

And on Saturday, November 7, 2020,  Oregon State Police responded to its third fatal crash of the week on Highway 99 East near milepost 35.

Police say that Roque-Perez(26) was pronounced dead at the scene, after an investigated revealed that he was driving southbound before colliding with a Chevy Silverado.

His passenger Bulmaro Cortes-Salinas (24) of Salem, was transported to the hospital with injuries, while Mendoza-Gallardo, who was driving the Chevy, was also transported to the hospital with injuries.
