EUGENE, Ore--- The No. 3 Oregon Ducks (4-0) kept their fans in Eugene on edge for a little bit on Saturday. In the end though, Oregon finished the game strong and beat Arizona (0-4), 41-19.

With the win, Oregon advances to 4-0. More importantly, Oregon moves to 1-0 in the Pac 12 which gives the Ducks the lead of the Pac 12 North.

Oregon kept its fans nervous for most of the game. Oregon entered the 4th quarter only up 24-19 over the winless Wildcats. Oregon put more of an exclamation mark on the win with a 43-yard, Camden Lewis Field goal, 18-yard touchdown pass from Anthony Brown to Spencer Webb, and a 68-yard interception return for a touchdown from Bennet Williams.

Coming into the game, Oregon running backs CJ Verdell and Travis Dye combined for seven rushing touchdowns and nearly 500 yards. In this game, Verdell only carried the ball 11 times for 45 yards. Granted, Verdell did score a touchdown.

Oregon quarterback Anthony Brown finished 10-21 for 206 yards and three touchdowns. Brown did not throw any interceptions in the game. The interception number becomes more important in comparison to Arizona QB Jordan McCloud, who threw five.

Oregon's talented, young defense held the Ducks up. Noah Sewell had a career-high 14 tackles. Bennett Williams came away with two of the five interceptions.

Next up, Oregon will take on Stanford on the road. That game will be played on Saturday, October 2, at 12:30 p.m.
