Oregon Tech basketball is back, Owls split Saturday games

Danny Miles Court has officially awakened from its long nap. On Saturday, Oregon Tech Basketball continued its return to play with an 89-68 win for the men and a 68-57 loss for the women. Both games were played against a visiting Bushnell.

KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. --- Danny Miles Court has officially awakened from its long nap. On Saturday, Oregon Tech Basketball continued its return to play with an 89-68 win for the men and a 68-57 loss for the women. Both games were played against a visiting Bushnell. 

Men's Game:

The Oregon Tech men (2-0) beat Bushnell (0-2), 89-68 at Danny Miles Court. 

Harrison Steiger led the Owls in scoring with 15 points. Steiger added three assists and two rebounds.

Tech Freshman Jamison Guerra played for 20 minutes and facilitated four assists. He also had nine points.

As a team, the Owls shot 53.8% from the field and 50% from downtown. 

Bushnell's Kaden Sand had a game-high 23 points. That was including going 3-3 from the 3-point line. 

Bushnell shot 46.2% percent from the field and 37.5% from three.

Women's Game:

The Lady Owls fell to 1-1 after a 68-57 loss to Bushnell (2-2). 

Bushnell's Aspen Slifka led the game in scoring with 16 points. She nearly pulled the double-double with nine rebounds. 

The Beacons shot 40.7% from the field and 32.1% from downtown. 

For the Owls, Abby Kreiser had a double-double with 15 points and 11 rebounds.

Melissa Lee was close behind in scoring with 11. 

Oregon Tech was pretty cold shooting the basketball. Tech went just 27% from the floor and 22.2% from downtown. 

Up Next:

The Oregon Tech men will be on the road vs Corban on March 26 and 27. Both games will tip at 2:00 p.m. The Tech women will make the same trip, but both games will start at noon.
