LAS VEGAS, Nev--- The dream match-up for Oregonians is set. With wins for both teams at the Pac-12 Tournament on Thursday, Oregon and Oregon State will play in the semi-final.
In the quarter-final, Oregon made light work of Arizona State. The Ducks beat the Sun Devils, 91-73.
Oregon was led by LJ Figueroa who scored 21 points and added four rebounds. Will Richardson was the next closest scorer for Oregon. Richardson came away with 17 points while going 6-9 from the field.
It was not as easy of a day for Oregon State. It took a 16-point comeback and overtime for the Beavers to down UCLA, 83-79. Hard charges at the end of the first half and the start of the second half characterized a huge comeback win.
Warith Alatishe anchored the Beaver scoring with 22 points. He also added 10 rebounds to come away with a double-double.
Perhaps Jarod Lucas took and made some of the biggest shots of the game for the Beavers. That includes a massive three-pointer to bring Oregon State within 10 just before the half. Lucas finished with 17 points while going 5-10 from downtown.
Oregon and Oregon State will play for a chance to go to the Pac-12 Tournament Championship on Friday at 5:30 p.m.
