SAN FRANCISCO, Calif--- On Friday, the Pac-12 announced that it's cancelling two football games this week because of Covid-19. The conference is also rescheduling one game for Sunday.

Earlier this afternoon, the conference released a statement on Twitter, stating that both the Cal versus Arizona State and Utah versus UCLA games would be cancelled. The cancellations were made because both Utah and Arizona State have a seen large amounst of positive cases within the team and do not have enough players to participate. Arizona State Head Coach Herm Edwards was among one of the most recent positive cases within the team.

In their statement on Twitter the Pac-12 said, "The cancellation of this game is very disappointing to our student-athletes and our fans. While all of us want to see our football student-athletes on the field competing, our number one priority must continue to be the health and safety of all of those connected to Pac-12 football programs."

However with the cancellation of the Cal, Arizona State and Utah, UCLA games, the conference has made the decision create a new game between Cal and UCLA. Since both football programs do meet the requirements, the Pac-12 has scheduled a new match up for Sunday at 9 a.m. on Fox Sports 1.

But with the new game in place some other changes are being made. The Pac-12 has decided to move Oregon and UCLA match up from Friday November 20 to Saturday November 21. This will give the Bruins and the Ducks one extra day to prepare, although UCLA will still have a shorter week.

Last week, the Pac-12 cancelled two of its games as well. Both the Cal versus Washington and Arizona versus Utah games were cancelled because of large amounts of Covid-19 cases on the Bears' and Utes' teams.
