CORVALLIS, Ore--- Oregon State Women's Basketball star Destiny Slocum is entering the NCAA Transfer Portal. That is according to a tweet that Oregon State Women's Basketball sent out on Thursday.

"I have made the decision to enter the transfer portal as a graduate transfer in my last year of eligibility," said Slocum. "I appreciate all who have supported me in this decision - coaches. teammates, fans, academic staff, strength and conditioning, athletic trainers, and many more. Thank you to my coaches for giving me an opportunity to wear the Beaver uniform and be part of this special program. Most of all I want to thank my teammates! The bonds and relationships I have built with all of you are something I will cherish forever. I have nothing but complete love for you all! Oregon State and Beaver Nation will always hold a special place in my heart!"

Oregon State head coach Scott Rueck also had a statement in the tweet.

"I appreciate everything Destiny means to our program and our family. I support her decision to explore her options as she is assessing what is best long-term for her career," said Rueck.

This announcement comes on the same day that the redshirt junior earned a WBCA All-America Honorable Mention.

In the 2019-20 season, Slocum was an All-Pac-12 honoree. She led the Beavers with 14.9 points per game and had a team-high 150 assists. She was named to the Naismith Trophy Midseason Team.

In her career, Slocum has 507 assists, which is 22nd among active players nationally.
